View Full Version : Nikon 50mm 1.8
Is the nikon 50mm 1.8 much cop? I've got a 50mm for my KM and love it and I'm thinking of getting the 50mm 1.8 for a mate as a present. Good or bad idea?

You can have mine for free, when you pry it from my cold dead fingers! :)

The quality is good, then add the fact it can be had for £70ish, its well worth it.
Excellent lens. If it was bought for me, I'd be very pleased indeed! Would mean I would then have 2 though. :D
Excellent, my dad got me one for my birthday, lovely lens, sharp and fast
My mate has just bought me one and I'm waiting for it to arrive in the post, can't wait!
It is a very highly regarded lens and at the price it's at it's a steal.
There's a technical review here which should give you a very good idea of the lens' capabilities: http://www.photozone.de/8Reviews/lenses/nikkor_50_18/index.htm
