View Full Version : Bristol/Bath/Southwest Meet????
I'm bored and a bit lonely at the moment as all my normal pals I go wandering around shooting with have wandered away to far flung places.
Anyone fancy meeting up for a little west-country action?
And don't listen to Hoodi when he tries to tell you that I'm crap at organisation. He's just crap at doing what he's told ;)
Yep I'm up for a meet...
.. when?
.. where?
I'd possibly come along if it's not too far :)
I work during the week in bath so would love a mid-week meetup

Hi, I may be interested, depends when and where, be good to meet some of you guys from on here.
Beach, City or something else?
I was thinking maybe west woods near marlborough (http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?client=public&X=415000&Y=167500&width=700&height=400&gride=419079.168751143&gridn=169045.084039803&srec=0&coordsys=gb&db=freegaz&addr1=&addr2=&addr3=&pc=&advanced=&local=&localinfosel=&kw=&inmap=&table=&ovtype=&keepicon=true&zm=0&out.x=7&out.y=11&scale=50000) (it's the grey shaded area) When the blue bells are out maybe?
Or the coast somewhere?
I would be interested, any idea when and where, am afraid midweek would be out the question for me, to much work on in the week.
that's even close enough for me too !
I work during the week in bath so would love a mid-week meetup
dude, send me a pm at some point and we'll have to meet up! Bath is loverly in the summer. A pint and a wander about after work one evening maybe?
Maybe we could do south wales ? Gower is beautiful as is port talbot in it's own special way lol.
I think wherever it is we should avoid the bank holidays as the touroids will have multiplied to unfeasible levels and I don' know bout you guys, but I tend to find the best stuff is down little windy lanes that end up clogged to the hilts with caravans, X5's, etc and I for one don't fancy spending a day stuck in the car, in traffic etc etc etc........
Ok, my suggestions are........
Gower Peninsula,
Westwood (bit of a morning or evening one this as I doubt it'll be very good mid-day)
Westonbirt Arboretum
North Devon Coastal town of your choosing
dates would be either....
12/13 may
19/20 may
or somepoint in june (bluebells will be dead by then)
Any takers?
I'd love to get along to this. Life, work, surprises or disasters allowing of course.
If it's going to be west woods, then it needs to be fairly soon as the bluebells are out now and will probably be at their best next week. It really is incredibly beautiful there at the moment but I'd be happy to go just about anywhere.
The weekend of the 19/20th of may might be a possibility for me, won't be able to confirm until nearer the time unfortunately. Went to Westonbirt last year and thought it was good, maybe that should be an autumn shoot though
I thiink I'm off to westwoods this avo, as we're about to lose the sunnyweather here for a few days. If it's gonna be showery nect week I may pop over early one morning in a vain attempt to get some misty early morning type shots.
Shall say 19/20 and either gower or N devon then?
as is port talbot in it's own special way lol.
i've been meaning to take some pics there at sunset for a couple of years now. i want one from across the reservoir looking at the industrial bits. i'm a bit busy for a meet at the min, but would love to sometime.
