I have been trying out Petemc tutorial for HDR!

This is Cabot tower in Bristol.

Any C&C gratefully received.

Yep - that's HDR. :) You just need to be a bit careful with your tone mapping Spence - those halos around the tower and the tree line are the price you pay for over-doing it a bit.

What CT said, and there's a bit of extra noise. The clouds are a touch too grey I think too. It can happen.

OOps!:shake:

Well this was my original shot, but thought it was a bit dull?

Hope this is better.

It does take a lot of practice, Spencer.

I doubt anyone has done a perfect one on their first try.

The comments above are to help you with your next one....watch out for the halos as you move the sliders. And those white puffy clouds going grey is another.

Try lots, you will improve!

Keep going! Its a respectable start - I swing between success and failure on HDRs but its not everyone's cup of tea - but I'm a big fan of HDRs - obviously you've read the right stuff to get started as well!!

I look forward to seeing some more from you!!!

Can you resize these to 800 pixels on the longest side please Spencer, before the bogey man breaks your links? ;)

Thanks

It's much better than the results i get from HDR. I'm finding it very difficult to get them right.
