2nd one doesnt grab me unfortunately, but the first and third are great.

I love that sort of angle on the first. Very striking composition, and well exposed too :thumbs:

Cries out triptych to me - agree the second is the weaker of the 3 but bet they'll look good in a frame for three

Good DOF in those for working that close. No1 for the win though, must admit.

thanks guys.
I was testing a home-brew ring flash in these pics.
First one is in blazing sun, Sun from behind him. Hard flash straight into him, fast shutter.

2nd, less challenging, more to play with the perspective really.

3rd.. well. Sun was directly behind my head, camera held out in front of me and hard flashed directing into my face. Of course the sun blows the background like crazy, and the flash is relied on to fill.

all good fun :)
