View Full Version : Gumball 3000 start, London 29th April
A must for any petrolhead, so much exotica on display it just makes me moist :p
Cars are on display in Pall Mall from 1pm and the official start is 4pm. I will probably rock up early and get some static shots in, before going home to pick up my car and drive down the M20 to get a good vantage point to watch the cars on the way to the Eurotunnel at Folkestone.
By the time they have made their way through London and got down to Folkestone it will probably be around 6-7pm
Anyone else going?

Defineatley sound like a good oppotunity to take some shots of nice cars, shame i can't make it :(

I'm definitely (sorry pet hate that one) going to try and make it :)
Hmmm, I'm only about 10 mins from the M20, so might find a bridge down there and see what I get....

Get there early if you want a good vantage point, every single bridge between London and Folkestone was packed last year
Will do, thanks! Just got to think of a bridge now!
Bit far for me I'm afraid.
i will be there again this year, its awesome!!!
get plenty of static shots before moving to watch them travel out of london.
cant wait :D

anyone keen to meet up at this event?
glad i saw this as i thought it was on saturday and cant make saturday.
will try and get down there for this.
Very hacked off with this. Saw they were leaving London between 4 and 6, so thought yep, plenty of time to get down to Maidstone after the football.
So, arrived in Hollingbourne, on a bridge about 6. Saw 3 Gumball cars go through. Old bill turned up and told us it was all over. It was now about 6.45. There's no way anyone left London around 5.30 - 6pm and got to Maidstone that quickly!
