View Full Version : Silly Sad Sally
Hi everyone,
Recently did some processing on a couple of shot of my little sister I took ages ago (with a Sony H1). What d'ya think?

And some photoshoppery of two shots taken a couple of seconds apart. The processing was a pain, both shots had the bottom half of the background taken up with the deck of a boat :bang:

Hmm I don't mind the highlights in 1 as it is a stark contrast to the shadows. I like it as an artistic piece. Number 2 does nothing for me I'm afraid.

Like #1 a lot. Quite like the processing myself.
Not too keen on #2 though.
Rich :)
Both very good imo. I rather like the processing in #1, it really makes the individual hairs look very sharp.
No1 is great. I'd say take the right picture from 2 and make it a solo in the style of no.1.
Thanks for the feedback everyone.
The second one was just a bit of photoshop fun really, I can understand why people may not like it. :p
And pete, I've been meaning to do what you suggested for ages, I'll post it up should I get around to it later on!
Also I should probably point out that the first shot is a rather extreme crop - the file I used for processing can't have been more than about a million pixels from a P&S sensor - whilst I love my DSLR I have to say I'm still impressed with some of the results I got from my old Sony H1.

I like them both too - the merge in the second shot looks to be absolutely seamless.

Cheers Doug, cloning out half a boat around individual strands of hair took forever!
My eye is immediately drawn to where the white wave doesn't quite line up in the second. Otherwise, quite nice artistic pic.
