Just a few pictures of a high school softball game. Unfortunetly I was using a Kodak Easyshare and so I wasnt able to charge the battery fully and it died 3 innings onto the game. :'(

Home team sliding home, however I caught the very end of it and so the pose is a little akward. (By the way...SAFE!)

Pitching to the batter, fast-pitch style.

Batting with style. I do not like the billboard in the back and so next time I'm going to shoot at F/2.8 and hopfully be able to blur it out. (Was shooting at F/8 to be able to get outfield shots without having to refocus the camera.

So lemme know what you think! Oh, good story! Ok so this camera is my folk's camera (I own a Powershot 630 and wanted to use theirs since it has 12X zoom and mine's limited to 4X) and I had the lens so that it was through the fence for all of my shots. Well I was focused on first base in order to get the poised runner and all of a sudden... *THWACK!!!* The softball hits about a foot to the left of my camera and the catcher looks at me, smiles, and announces that that was a close one. After looking at the lens to double-check everything was fine I take a deep breath and continue shooting.

Hope you got good insurance there!

Some nice colourful shots there. Its a shame about the background in the last shot, but I guess its hard to get the perfect shot when somebody is throwing a ball at 100mph!

I enjoyed them and hopefully some others will add some comments to help you.

Cheers,

Bob

100mph?! Where were those! Haha, actually they throw in the 50mph range but from 40ft it's still pretty fast.

I thank you for your comments, they are much appreciated.
