Will it grow back? the reason I ask is that the potted tree I bgot for christmas is looking brown i places and I'm nervous of doing too much damage

It might grow back, is it a bonsai tree you have? They aren't as fragile as you might think. I have pruned, removed branches and used wire to shape mine. Only ones I have lost is due to frost :( .

I sent my hubby out to do the weeding yesterday, and ended up losing 4 plants that I love because he got hoe happy and chopped the poor things out thinking they were weeds. So I can empathise, but man.... :lol:
