Love the 2nd one Alan, I wonder what he's pondering there. Great catchlights in the eyes and nicely composed. Left eye (as we're looking at it) doesnt look as sharp as the right, have you done any sharpening at all?

Cute sprog.

As for comments... the first has a background brighter than the subject... could have corrected with fill in flash as it is.. :shrug: also looks slightly blurred.
The 2nd is much better, but his right cheek looks a little soft (OOF).

Thx matt i have done some sharpening but didnt want to introduce noise in to it he was looking at his mum (my sister) used my nifty fifty for them

thx for the comments as with all other photography i havnt done much portrait work and also only have the built in flash atm trying to talk the wife in to letting me get a decent flash for it.
