Not really been out and about as much despite the fine weather, ended up lazing in the garden, tidying the soil beds ready for planting some veg. A few birdies came along to watch for any exposed earthworms, plus a few robins fighting within a foot of me. Ashamedly I didn't have camera with me for the fight :bonk: but just a few of what came to watch. Usually they fly off at the slightest hint of humans but while turning the soil, they were happy to come close, sit and watch and linger around for a bit...

Like the ones with the more natural backgrounds

Oooh! what a lovely set. If I had to pick a favourite? the choice is between #1 and #2. The colours on the Magpie are lovely but no, the light outlining the robin on the fence is just better - well done

Love the Robin. The different angle and pose make it stand out really well

The magpie is not bad but needs a better background to the wall - not easy I know.

The others seem a little cluttered to me but that may be me being a bit fussy.

The colours and detail are good in all of them though

Thanks for the comments. I'm pleased with the robin pose, it didn't seem bothered by me and I'm sure it was enjoyed posing!
I know what you mean about the background to the magpie though. It always seems to enjoy rooftops, gutters, walls and railings more and never likes to come into the garden, unlike the little jobbies. I quite liked the colours and I think for once, I got good light on the head. Usually my magpie shots all have completely underexposed heads that I could never make out the eye detail.
