The last couple of photos I've posted on my blog haven't been automatically dragged into the General Photo Sharing forum as per usual.

Is something up with the software?

Not altered any code on my website recently apart from a bit more anti-spam protection on the comments, but the RSS hasn't been changed since the day I got it working.

Ok. Apologies if my feed caused any problems. When I initially coded the RSS section of my blog, I just made it identical to Chromasia's (and a few others I thought would be good 'role models').

the feed was coming through with text misformated next to it, and some odd stuff in [], and the image was a bit small

I'll have a look at sorting out the text stuff tonight. I can remove those CDATA tags that were showing up on the forum posts, it just means a bit more work on the coding as I'll have to use the special character codes every time I open and close HTML tags, which is a bit of a headache.

As for the image size, I propose a compromise - I'll keep it small but make it clickable (well, I'll try. Dunno if it'll work properly until I do it)

I appreciate that several other people here have changed the RSS feeds on their blogs to show the full-size picture but that's not common practice. RSS is meant to show you a list of stories/updates and then you choose which one you want to see by clicking through. It's not really meant to give you the entire content (full-size photo, in this case) right away.

Now from your (people reading this forum) point of view, you want to see a full-size photo in the threads because this is a forum, not an RSS feed. But the only way I can see of doing that is to compromise my RSS feed, which would be a bit like a newspaper editor making all the stories a weird format simply because Reader's Digest might come along and ask for one of them in that format.

If these was some way for the script to follow the link and find the full-size photo by itself then that would be ideal but I guess it doesn't do that, so if I find a way to make the thumbnail clickable, will you reinstate the feed?

Interesting - I didn't know that this feature existed. How does one use it?
