Thinking of buying one
Whats the going rate on a used one of these peeps?
;)
I paid £650 a couple of months ago for one without the original box. Other than that its in great condition
Where you get that from paul for that price....
It was on another forum with a 1.4x tc which I sold straight away
I got mine on here for £800 which I think is a good basis if you are looking to buy one. You can try a search through the classifieds on here to see past sales, or do the ebay completed sales search.
£650 sounds like a bargain!

The chap who is offering me his wants £950 for it, virtually brand new, still with warranty, with a 77mm uv filter costing £65, do you guys think thats a fair price?:)

Just go for it.:D
Not sure whether Canon warranties are transferrable, but if not, you may want to see whether the seller is prepared to act as a go between in the event of any faults within the 12 month warranty period..

Out of interest...
how does the Canon 100-400mm compare to the 70-200mm?

Yeah, I would love the 70-200 and reckon I will end up with one at some point in the future, but the 100-400 would suit me better because of the range, was just wondering if the IQ is as good as the 70-200 though that everyone speaks so highly of?
i may be looking to sell mine. it doesn't really get much use at the mo.
