Went to West Kirby with DRZ (OcUK) & Pete. Here are my efforts (some of the colours have been altered for effect by changing the white balance. :-

Comments welcome.
I love No 2 but, and it's a big but, the rocks are birght and focused for my liking. If you have PSP or similar try selecting them only and reducing the brightness - it'll take out what looks like flash illumination!
I also like No 1 of your second post. It's a slightly unnatural but eeriely attractive flip on a regularly used theme
Thanks Oz. The flash effect on the rocks was intentional. They could be focussed better though. :)
Hope you don't mind but I "borrowed" no 2 for this pseudo-panoramic shot:

I think it's improved having removed those rocks - no offence taken if people don't like it

That's cool. I found it rather distracting, hence my post above.
Good pics all in, and something you should be well pleased with!
I mostly like them- particularly No1 :D
Thanks, seems to work as a panoramic too. :)
pretty cool, windfarm shot works really well too...must get out more with my camera

Some good pics there ! :)
And yes i have to agree with EosD ! I need to get out more with my camera as well ! ;) LOL
Love the first image, it looks like a scene that has been designed for some pc game. Its so silky smooth it could almost be rendered. The city lighting has really added atmosphere to the sky and the whole picture.
