After my Windows failure of yesterday, I seem to have a stable system booting in a blink, and thankfully, I haven't lost anything which matters, although I'm going to have to re-install some programmes/applications.

I initially tried to repair the system with the XP disk, but it didn't hack it, and not wanting to go to all the bother of backing up stuff and formatting the drive, I re-installed XP over the existing version. At least I thought I did, but now when I boot up I get a choice of booting from two versions of Windows, the new version and the old version which just hangs in mid boot.

I've tried deleting the old version of Windows and the system wont let me. Is there any way I can get around this, or should I even bother trying?
