Hi guys,
Can anyone recommend anywhere to hire lenses in Bristol/Bath? I am looking to hire a Nikon 70-300mm VR to test out on the weekend before I buy one.
Thanks in advance,
Tom

calumet may do them but I doubt it... lensesforhire is probably your only option, if even they do it, most places will just stock the more standard professional lenses tbh.

I looked at Jacob's for you (although it's a trek to Cardiff) and they don't do that lens for hire. You could try calling their hire department and seeing if they could offer you something?

Thanks guys. I will try Jacobs Liz, funnily enough I am heading past Cardiff on Saturday so hopefully I will be in luck!

Ok, rang around a few places but none seem to have the 70-300mm. I asked about similar lenses and the closest most places had was a 70-200mm F2.8. Then they asked for a £1600 deposit!!! I can't afford this haha! Any other suggestions?
Thanks.

as someone has already suggested http://www.lensesforhire.co.uk/ seem good from reports from the forum
+1 for LFH, hired the lens off them for 10 days. Now I own one myself!

Lenses for Hire seem great, unfortunately they are out of stock this weekend! Looks like I will have to buy a lens instead.

Stuart, I have replied to your PM.
Thanks for all the help guys, I have managed to sort out a 55-200mm VR instead which will hopefully be ok!
