View Full Version : A couple from the beach yesterday
We took a trip down to the south coast with the kids yesterday, here's a couple I took, all with the Tamron 28-75. C&C welcome, I'm always a lot more relaxed when taking shots of the kids as they're only for personal use so the thought process is different, I'd say two is my personal favourite though (that's my wife and son in the background).
Edit: I'm more looking for feedback regarding the actual processing as opposed to uneven horizons etc.

I love the first one, it could be an advert for GAP clothing!
Good family shots, the vignetting is a little off putting in some.
Crooked horizons and little soft but the last has great potential.

Like the first image but feel it is cropped to tight at the bottom, as he is looking down at his feet we need to see that foot. Like both the mono shots but feel they need just a little more bite, suggest upping the contrast a tad
2 is a straight horizon, I really couldn't be bothered with the others as I didn't see the point in spending too much time on these ones. Funny you should say that about 4 though as I'm really not too keen on it.

Agree, was only cropped at the sides and top though, another reason why I didn't bother straightening it as it would have meant cutting off the toes.

Maybe I shouldn't spend so much time responding to members shots.............

Maybe I should have written that a bit better or explained it more in the first post. I took 170 pictures yesterday and just grabbed these four to see how people saw them processing wise as opposed to the actual technical aspects of the shots.
Ps..I forgot to add an emotion Dave.........;)

You're right in what you said though, I've amended the top post. The one I did want to straighten was the first one, but it was either a straight horizon or some chopped off toes, so the toes were left intact.
