A quick look on the website indicates that they have both in stock. the 135 new and the 105 new or secondhand. They are pretty good with keeping the stock lists accurate.
A quick call would also help to see if they have any "new" second hand equipment in.
Nick.
PS: I've been having a look at their stock this morning for myself anyway so wasn't just looking for you.

They had one 135 in stock but it went over the weekend .... my luck heh
they expect at least one of them to be in stock at the end of the month ( I could not wait so long)
So I bought 105DC instead .
Watch this space for a quick review of this lens :)

Typical, still you got a nice lens so you should be ok , can I ask if you bought new or SH?
They have some real "characters" in the store, I know most of the staff and have had family work there.

Have a look on Fford's site..They are more than good, and descriptions are 100% accurate
Get a move on and show us your pics ;)
Would love to see some at f/2 as well as around f/5.6 with the DC thing working its magic!

I bought new.
S/H was in like new condition but no box....I know from experience that once I will want to sell it, and I wont have a box that may be a problem and make me go down on price :)

I have recently bought a 135mm DC and I'm still getting used to it. I guess one fo the reasons is that I am not used to shooting that long without VR. I looked around for a second hand one for a good while before throwing the towel in and buying it new!
ok here are some sample pics. they are crops at around 60-70% due to small object :)
Lens is well built.
AF is snappy !

I'll keep subscribed to this thread Lucas. Any tips would be appreciated as you get used to it...
Based on these, using DC at f/2 looks awful (not a dig at you, just the lens performance). Looks fine at f.2 with no DC and the one at f/5.6 with DC looks good too. It would have been great to see a one at f/5.6 with no DC to really compare, I bet most of the background would have been in focus or close to focus without DC.
Guess I will really pass judgement when you post portrait pics up. Really interested in this thread too!

I have a mint boxed one of these .. saw it advertised and bought it on a whim. Not sure why as I very rarely do portraits.

 I may be missing something but what has that got to do with the 135mm F2 DC?

Wow! :bonk: Got mine from Focus (NEC) in February, paid £3.00 for it!
Just one tiny mark on the front element, but it doesn't effect the final image in any way, even got the original case with it.
I knew they were rare, Tamron didn't make that many, been dying to find out what it was worth, thanks for posting the link

It has a similar defocus feature and I alerted cambsno to the auction following his posts in another, related thread. The Tamron can be used on several brands of camera. Those with a general interest in this type of lens may also welcome info about the Sony 135mm STF.

They were going for about £100 a couple of years ago, but have crept up to £200-ish and even over £300.
