I was in the garden earlier this week looking for bugs to photograph with my 100mm Macro i was moving plant pots and rocks not having much luck when i found a spider, as i was setting up my tripod this cheeky little robin landed right next to me and grabbed the spider and flew off with it.
With this i gave up and started to put the tripod away when he come back (probably hoping i would find some more bugs for him). I decided since i wasn't going to get any insect shots i would grab some photos of him instead.

Over the last few days i have thrown some food down for him and he's quite happy to let me take more photo's of him, he's even started waiting for me on the fence in the morning (not sure this is a good thing).

Since my telephoto broke i dont get much of a chance to do any bird photography and i miss it alot. I really need to get myself a telephoto zoom or prime now and get back into it.

All shots were taken with the Canon 100mm 2.8 Macro lens.
Thanks for looking.

Love the spider story. Good shots all round but the pose in No.2 is just great.

What a considerate little fella, very nice shots, though for me the first one just shades it.

At least you know with the macro lens he/she is unlikely to get inside your minimum focus distance!!
