Hi All, right time we put a mark in the ground for this one :)

We have 2 dates, Sat 19th May or Sat 2nd June, anybody that would like to attend, can you please make a choice on the poll, we will go with the majority for this one.
We would aim for 7.30-8.00PM

I still am not likely to make it unless I get home from Wembley (FA Cup Final) at a reasonable time to MK and drive from there around 25 mins away. I was planning an evening in London with my Brother and therefore originally said I couldn't make it, but he's dithering at the mo'. As long as you are ok with a 'late arrival' from me, small possibility I will make it. If it's the pub I think it is (next to Shell garage) on A508 from J15 on the left going in towards Northampton!

Think thats the carvery you are thinking of, Queen Eleanor is off to your right as you drive along that road by a hotel, go past the shell garage and take the next exit, stay in the right lane on the slip, go all the way round (dont get back on the dual carriageway though ;)) then take the first right up the road BEFORE the garden centre, pub is right there :)

Hmmm, tis a tricky one. Ladybird prob cant make the next one (she might be able to re-work some things to make it), you cant make the next one, but there's only three of us confirmed. Jas and mrgubby are both maybes.
Turnout in general looks better for the 2nd June too.

Yeah, I suggest a booze up but there is definitely food served so those that want it can have it!
To go along with the link above, basically you just get off the A45 from the M1 at the Queen Eleanor interchange. If coming from the M1, take he last exit (B526 to Wootton). Then take the first on the right, and its just in there!
I only live 2 mins away, but its not possible to walk it given the type of roads! So if anyone could offer me a lift that would be most appreciated!
I have PM's my mobile number to everyone (I think). I suggest we meet in the garden as that way it should be easier to find each other!

I have been thinking about this question for a few days since you posted it. I even entered into an internal philosophical debate with myself about the relationship between time, space and a pint of beer served in pub with a 'Funky Forest' play area. :thinking:
The only conclusions I could draw were that:
a)They went into hiding rather than apologise for not attending (Those on a date and holiday excepted). A rather mundane idea I am none too happy with TBH. :|
b)Some of ladies are men and some of the men are ladies and didn't want this to be discovered. Didn't seem to bother me too much though. ;) This idea I warmed to.
Or Lastly,
c)You Ladybird, were infact not sharing the same space pubtime as everyone else and only visible to those of us with extra-dimensional sight. In this alternative version of the Pubverse you were unable to see the other boy/girls. Where as in the perceived real inverse pubworld everybody turned up and had a jolly good laugh at your expense.

Well now, could you get more 'black and white' than that?
There is of course option d) (and it goes like this...)
D) Something happens that renders 'tog meetings hugely unimportant, at that moment in time,and public apologies, to placate those that need them, irrelevant.
I'll go with option D, but those who might have plumped for 'A'...who cares whether you are happy with it or not, other life happens and it sure doesn't fit in just to please you.
(Now, because I'm nice I'll add this caveat: I apologise for being quite so blunt, I'm usually much more diplomatic, but it's a risky business to judge people in such a simple way.)

But I think you'll find I am unhappy about an idea being mundane rather than people not turning up. Maybe the way I type not good. Nobody else seems to have taken it that way. In fact the whole post had a general air of jest and jolly japes about it me thinks, and maybe I have been judged unfairly. :thinking:
Based on this response, I am now waiting for the negative reaction from those whose gender I questioned! :D

But, if anyone from this group is interested in doing something a little different on Sunday 23rd September then let me know.
You'll be mixing with NON-PHOTOGRAPHERS as well. :eek: But don't let that bother you as you met me and I'm not a photographer. ;)
It will be day of shooting in woodland a little north of Corby. Not real shooting though unfortunately, but Airsoft which is something similar to Paintball. So, yes it can hurt.
Initial cost will be £35 which gets you the weapon, ammo, mask and Camo Jacket.
Let me know and ladies are welcome. The last few times I was in charge organising these private days we did have some 'ladies' present. Hand them a 600 rounds per minute rifle and they do tend to get a little aggressive. ;)
It is a private day. Invite only so we will not be getting any walk ons.

Well if you decide to sign up then we'll just have to make sure we are on the same team so we never have to test the Sneaky Cobra against the Irritable_Rabbit Armed and Dangerous. ;)

Which is sort of what this airsoft is but where the word play can be used quite safely. :D
