I know malla has ordered one but same as everyone else, No stock as yet.:(
Another month should see these cameras appearing.
I ordered from RGB-Tech, they cancelled my pre-order and upped the price by £500...:annoyed:
I wont be getting one unless my 5D is a write-off and I can get a refund, or, Kerso manages a great price.
Im sure the price will drop in due course.
Obviously it' s the one to go for if you're buying new and can afford it although the 1DMK2n is starting to look like a bargain, and will be no doubt be cheaper when the new model hits the shops.
It's much like the situation with the 10D when the 20D first came out - hard to justify changing for the moderate improvements.
Mind you did I read correctly - anticipated shutter life is now 300K actuations (up from 200K)? If so that is impressive and a first I think?

Yep, spot on! But then at 10 fps I suppose it won't take all that long to get there:shrug:
LOL. About 8.5 hours.. on continuously? :D

oh and I think the shutter would break long before 8.5hrs continuous shooting (if it were possible), I suspect thermal expansion and related issues would cause the damage before mechanical failures...

According to Alessandro Stanzani, head of Canon Consumer Imaging UK & Ireland "...at the time of writing, there are no final production units of this model for sale anywhere in the world". This is quoted in this week's AP magazine which is on sale on Tuesday 8th May. Interesting.

I just ordered one for an August/September delivery.
It will be useful for a little project in Autumn. There are about 200 people in the Q ahead of me at this supplier.
Oh and I still call shenanigans on the existance of a MKiii several posts up. :suspect: :suspect:
Mk III? What, Escort? Mondeo?
Am I in the right Forum here?

Sure do.. ;)
I did call shenanigans when I first saw it. I wonder what other listed gear might not actually exist, or am I reading too much into it?
Seriously though, with shipments about to start I'm looking forward to getting mine at a rather more realistic delivery date of August 07.
