View Full Version : MonoPod Recommendation
Hi
I am looking to buy a monopod, the aim will be for taking pics at motor racing events, when I am using a 300mm lens.
Any recommendations would be appreciated.
Thanks
Rob
I just bought a Manfrotto Neotec 685B for my wife. I'm so impressed with it I just ordered another for myself. It offers genuine one handed opening and closing, is very solid and extremely light.
That looks like the daddy of all monopods (sorry grendal i know thats your title)

:agree:
Had one of these for a year now and it's very good.
I didn't think I'd need the tilt head, but it does make it even easier to use and it's only about 14 quid. I personally wouldn't bother with the more expensive quick release version. It's well over head height when fully extended and with the tilt head it's ideal for birds in flight shots.

That was going to be my ? to you CT.
Thanks
Get the Manfrotto pouch as well. It makes panning so much easier.
Neotec is the best option for rapid up and down ...
