Nice shot geordieboy but I think you've actually got yourself a Ringed Plover there!

This is a LRP which has the noticeable eye ring around it and different coloured legs.

LRP's tend to hang around inland to breed whereas Ringed Plovers tend to be around the coasts a bit more.

I must get myself to the Farnes, seen them on TV but not in the flesh. It looks great there :love: . Just a shame it's a trek from here :'(
