The second one was captured at exactly the right moment however the lens that you have used here has not allowed you to get close enough to your subject and it has become lost in the background. Your timing was great but unfortunately on this occation the equipment used has let you down. If possible try to zoom in more and use a lower F stop to isolate the subject.
