I have a photo of my niece that i wanted to remove the background or just make the photo look better but not got any software yet only want came on pc and not managed to be able to do it with that. Can anyone help please? Also which would be the best software for me to get?

PhotoshopElements is probably the easiest to get the hang of and doesnt cost the earth.

If it's a single shot that you want modding post it up here and I'm sure one of us will have a crack at it for you.

Just tried uploading the picture to my gallery but got a message saying exceeds filesize limit what do i need to do to make it smaller?

how large is it emma? you can email the full size image to me matty@talkphotography.co.uk and i will resize and add to your gallery for you

You need to open it in some kind of photo editor and change the amount of pixels in the image - not as complicated as it sounds. If you are feeling brave then have a look at Gimp - http://www.gimp.org/ - it will let you open your pictures and change the size of the image and also compress it so it loads nice and quickly :)

or you could just send it to Matty :p depends how crazy you are feeling :D

yahoo resized the image to very small, really need a bigger image to work on easily

just had a very quick play. Tried copy the background but it failed - so turned it into more of a background texture.
