I guess technically there's nothing wrong with it, but it's a bit of a snapshot for me. The subject is a little dull. It would have been better as an action shot (ie/ him doing something - rescuing someone?)
:agree:
looks like a bloke showing off his swissarmyknife helmet and batbelt
:agree: with everything everyone has said.
I also think it would be a lot better if it weren't for those other guys in the background. The OOF highlights just distract too much.
As a photograph I think it would have been better if you'd managed to show him more in keeping with his work (ie against a ruined building) but it's well exposed for such harsh lighting and pin sharp.

I really think this works well and would disagree with the "snap shot" comment, we can see in the background other members of the rescue team so know something is happening. Would fit well with a series of pics or even for editorial use.
The shot is real sharp, and my only criticism might be that with a bit of fill flash the area under the helmet around the goggles may have become more visable.
Thanks for all your comments, A few from that day are going to be published in a national magazine which im chuffed to bits with......although Im not being paid for them lol
Stay safe
Sean
