A few pics from my recent trip to Arran. Stayed in a lovely place with an amazing garden... and took about 900 pictures in all :)

Certainly more colourful than when I went there last year, although it was late in the year. Lovely place with some great views. Wished I had more chance to look around. Did you get any good views of the Island.

Yes i did get some good shots, havnt quite got around to my landscape shots yet. I took about 800 pics in total and its gonna take some time to get to them all :)

Wow! Lots of shots in there - very colourful. I like the very last one of the thistle.

I'm guessing you used fill flash on a lot of these. Gives things a very strange look to my eye. Kinda like colour plates in an old book. Interesting but just not quite right :)

Ive no idea what fill flash is :)
Im a bit of a newbie in this whole photography thing :)
I do use the pop-up flash, without it im restricted to very low f numbers so there is almost no DOF in macro. With the popup flash i can take pics at f18-f25.
