I Got a phonecall from my ma in law.."your package has arrived"....I downed tools and shot straight round there, already having my camera in the back of the van in anticipation.
I havent had a chance to do anything really meaningful with it but I have rattled of some shots and I am pretty pleased about the wideness of the lens.

I took some shots...one of my inlaws kitchen and I cant believe the angle, so I took it to work with me this afternoon and took some pictures of a bomb de church in Birkenhead that has all of its windows smashed in, sadly a boy was run over and killed outside the church and the memorial scene was too sad, inso far that the church was desolete derelict.

Also a shot of a catamaran ferry that was in the docks...just too wide:woot: ...I cant believe it.

one was hdrd as an experiment

these images have been resized obviously for the interweb

the first ever picture taken with my 10-20mm

Pete, It is on the corner of balls road and oxton road in birkenhead, on the opposite side and further down to the balls road clinic where they do the snips operations on a saturday morning, I remember it only too well:gag:

Blinekrz...here is the link to the freeware app called nshift

Thanks for this Paul. I've been trying for ages for my husband to let me buy a new lens and this is my first choice..... He said mmm interesting when I showed him the pics. I think that is a positive sign.

I dont know if i'm quite ready for the diversity yet, it is almost like looking in the hall of mirrors when you put the 10-20mm lens on, it will probably take some getting used to...but get used to it I will:thumbs:

Congratulations. I have seen great results from this lens. Personally, I quite like the wide distortion too.

Looks sharper than mine - the RHS of mine is soft but bizarrely not on every shot and not at the same settings either. I bought it in the US so can't send it back. Having said that I find f8 or above comes out well enough and I've had some great shots from it. I just wish I'd saved a little more for the Canon 10-22.
