Well I'm going to be crude and say it looks like the view from underneath a camel or something :D (Or what I think that view would look like :suspect: )

I have absolutely no idea.

Susane

Looks like the plughole of a stainless steel sink but what the biological matter is I have no idea:shrug:

The whispy bits in the bottom corners kind of look like cobwebs, fine cobweb.

 I'm loving this, a friend with me tried a few guesses as well, nope...but when I told him what it was , he saw it straight away as clear as a clear thing...nearly.

Ok, 1st guess, looking at where your from and what the pic looks like, I'd say you went to the London Dungeons. Can imagine this being one of the exhibits there.

Second picture looks like a model of Colosseum or something similar.

Can't help with where you were. Only ever been to London once and that was about 10 years ago.

Have seen all the films but no more than a couple of times each.

However, I did used to have a model of Yoda when I was young that I used to carry around in my pocket all over the place as I thought he was wonderful.

Hmm, its not one of those tiny sculptures that you have to view through a magnifying glass is it? Looks a bit clear for that though.

yeap that the one mate. ..

Dunno, probably... yes. ;) ... thankfully the side effect of having a son gives me all the excuses I need. :D

----

The explanation.

The first is Yoda, standing in a circular glass case, shot from above pointing down.
The top of the photo is his head and hair...the middle and bottom of the shot (the focused bit) is his hands/nails, sleaves..And walking stick!!

See tis obvious now init. ;)

The second shot is indeed the actual model from the pod racing scenes, which in real life is about six feet square, the shot is a 3rd segment out of the whole frame. Because of glass reflections and such like etc.

Anyway...I hope that this was slightly amusing peeps. ...excuse me for not actually being here this morning... best laid plans and all that.

'cause its fun to try and stump out so many creatively thinking people...! just goes to show doesn't it - you think you've got something no one will guess but then someone does!
righty ho then... who's up next?
how about Andrea since she got it before the rest of us...keep the ball rolling with whoever gets it posting the next 'guess what it is' picture.

plan?

And walking stick!!
even more geeky, yoda's walking stick is apparently called a Gimer stick

Sorry, I haven't yet.

Been working on Rescue website today so just haven't had chance and I don't have anything that I've taken before as fairly new to all this. Been out all night stuffing my face with my three year old nieces birthday cake.

If anyone else has anything please feel free to post. I'll try to get something on Saturday though. Have a morning off, well sort of.

Its at times like this I feel I have my finger in too many pies.

Just found this one on my hard drive ....

http://ascphotos.freehostia.com/pixelpost_v1.6.0/images/20070509192711_mini-abstract%20(12).jpg

Hopefully this will work!!!!

Don't think it will be long before someone guesses it!!!

If the image doesn't work, I apologise - been having some hassle with spaces in filenames!!!

Doesn't seem to have worked.

Could anyone tell me how to post, or even link to an image that has a cpace in the filename ?

The url is http://

ascphotos.freehostia.com/pixelpost_v1.6.0/images/20070509192711_mini-abstract%20(12).jpg

but for some reason this site does not like the space between abstract and 12.

Any offers from the tecchies please?

Anth.

Nope - nothing yet!

magpieant
17-05-2007, 21:56
It's weird this.

If I post the link into my browser I get the picture perfectly and I can link from other sites.

For some reason though it does not allow a link from here.

The only explanation I have been given is that it's the space in the filename, although the html code translates that as %20 so it should not matter.

Got me beaten !!!

Will upload under different name later so we can continue the game!!!!

Unless anyone can solve the mystery of the disappearing picture before then!!!

Anth.

I try to avoid filename spaces anyway, after a web designer of considerably more experience than myself said they are a no-no....

Can you upload it to your gallery here changing th efile name first?

btw - I can see it if I paste the link into my browser...and I have no idea where you are LOL!!
