Hi there.
In another thread I have been chatting to someone about remote shutters. Whilst testing mine out for him, I accidentally took this shot.
I think it works as a piece of art you would find in Habitat or somewhere like that.
What are your views please?
Also, to join the club - 10points to anyone who can guess what it is!!!
Very weird - won't link directly to the image .. here's the link.

Kind of lost momentum on this one now!!!!
Cheers.

This is weird !!!
The URL for the pic is this ...
http://ascphotos.freehostia.com/pixelpost_v1.6.0/images/20070516115237_small%20version.jpg
Which works when copied into a browser.
It doesn't seem to work when linked from here

Tried again! Sorry about this.
As for the signature thing - God knows!!!! That's another thing I need to look into!!!

you had a space in the filename so it didn't like it.

Well it could be the edge of an open door with a very dark room to the left and the shadow of the door on a wall on the right?
Other than that absolutely no idea.

Hehe, very abstract. What were you trying to say with this piece? I feel it represents the increasing angst over the globalisation of mankind with undertones of hope.:p

A big thanks to ppp for resolving the issue - had me well stumped there !!!
A big well done to staffitaxi for nailing it right on the head!!!
And a big  to Messiah Kahn for talking absolute b****ks !!!!
Does the image work for anyone, or am I just getting carried away in this contemporary vibe ????
Cheers.
Anth.
PS - off to sort my signature out now!!!

Hey anyone else got any obscure photos.
I'm on a roll!!!!
I can see where your coming from with the contemporary vibe. I guess it could work in a very modern flat. I prefer to have something a bit more obvious on my walls though, but that's just me and old fashioned kind of gal.
That's old fashioned not old!

Hey I'm with you 100%.
As I said, it was accidental - but I thought someone, somewhere may like it as a 'contemporary' piece - so it's been kept on my hard drive!!!!

Hi Anth
I wish some of my thought out and deliberate shots came out as well.
Seem to be not having a very successful time of late. Or I could just be getting more critical of my own stuff since being on here and seeing how good everyone else's work is, which I guess is no bad thing. Makes me strive to try harder.
I'm afraid when my Aunt and Uncle took me to an Art Gallery last year (my uncle is very into art) they were dissapointed that I only liked the pictures where you could tell what it was. The other stuff just went way over my head.

Hi Andrea.
Thank you very much for your comments- very kind.
Dunno if you have read another one of my posts about my trip to Manchester Art gallery recently. If you have, you will know that I share your views on 'art'.
Not into all this 'what is the artist saying' type thing
As it happens the shot above happened this morning .... I had a question in another post about my remote shutter release. I had my camera on a chair in the room - tested the shutter using the remote - taking a picture of my half open door in the process!!!!
Having being dragged around the likes of Habitat and Au Naturale too often for my liking, I know they love this sort of thing, so i thought I'd pose a question to the readers of this forum on whether they liked it or not!!
I know what you mean about having hard times photography wise - I think most of us have good and bad days/weeks/months! I too am feeling the need to get out and get more shots!! Let me know how you get on.
Thanks again for the feedback!!
Cheers
Anth.
