Thought I'd have a crack at a few more still life, if you can call this one?
The sky helps allot..... But shot at a higher ISO - 400 I think.

Personally this is one of my most favourite shots of the year so far, which says allot for my landscapes :)

Interested to see what you all think !

Cheers,
Neil

I like it :) .

The sheen on the watering can is great, but personally I think the sky could maybe do with a touch of noise reduction.

:agree:

I quite like the grainy texture to the sky too. I would be immensely pleased with this.

I like it too - looks like a dalek staring up to the heavens.

Well I've seen the picture and read the comments but there is obviously no artist in me as I only see a watering can and some sky.

[QUOTE=RobertP;261867] I only see a watering can and some sky.
QUOTE]

To be honest Robert that exactly what my girlfriend said to me about the shot. :)
I think it works because it is so simplistic and it's not trying to be anything else. You know exactly what it is, it's clean, and the shot is (hopefully) complemented by the lead-in of the spout and the cloud formations....

For me it's about simplicity and nothing more, plus trying my hand in another subject matter and moving away from my landscape comfort zone.

Photography is about personal opinion and that's why I like reading all comments good or bad. Appreciate the comments.

Cheers, Neil

I like it. The only thing which mars it slightly for me is the loss of shadow detail in places on the underside. Try it again with fill flash or a reflector of some sort. :)
