Hi Ewan,
See you visited Llyn Gwynant - great place for photography.
I've seen lighting as in your shot often around there & it can make things difficult - the rays in the 1st shot are a great feature but unfortunately the bright light has meant you've lost any detail in the shadows
The lighting is better on the 2nd & the shot would be even stronger with a bit more foreground interest - I've taken several shots from that very spot myself & had to make a few visits to get something I liked
Great rays in the the 3rd shot
simon
Thanks for the comments :)
I've got a lot more experience since I took those photos - hopefully next time I go I'll get some better ones :D
Just checking out your site!

Simon - nothing from South Wales? For shame ;p
Ewan - love the second shot, but agree with Simon that there should be more foreground interest - that, or crop out the land in the foreground so that you just have the lake and mountains. And uh, straighten the horizon, or all the water will run out of the lake. :D
I like the first shot too, and it's a shame that it's so dark in the bottom left - but even so, it's very atmospheric. I especially like the tree against the sky and the sun over the mountains.

It's all been said in the comments above Ewan. I would add that the square composition only seems to to suit last shot, first two appear a little "cramped".
Light is handled well so only small defects really.
Thanks.
I can't actually remember wheather I cropped them at all, or if that's just how they came out. I'll bear your comments in mind next time :D cheers.
