View Full Version : Vacancy: Cruise Ship Photographer
Ideally looking for people aged between 20-30, they don’t have to be professional photographers but be able to demonstrate a strong interest and prove it is a major hobby. Personality is the most important aspect as they will be working daily in a high pressure, guest services orientated environment and must be able to be friendly but professional at all times.
The job itself will be hard work. There will be long hours involved and long periods away from home, as such people need to think hard about it before applying.
Ideally we would be looking for people that have either worked in a similar role (events/guest photographer) or people with a strong customer services background (working in 4-5star hotels with good photographic knowledge).
Would anyone be interested in this job? we have been approached to advertise this postition, if you would like more information and contact details please PM me and i will forward information to you!

Ideally looking for people aged between 20-30,
mmm a bit of age discrimination???
God I would love it, but my current situation wouldnt allow ;)
Err! I think this post is a couple of years out of date now!
I used to work at a company that used to do cruise ship photography back in the day when you'd be stuck in a darkroom all hours of the day and night kocking out prints! Lot's of hard work, not much pay but good fun and lots of ports to visit!
Edit: haha, just saw InaGlo's post. Still, these positions come up all the time. A good way to see the world but lots of hard work!
Aahahahaha! Only just saw the date of the original post :D
*goes to unpack her luggage* :(

Sounds a fun job, did an Alaskan cruise on my honeymoon last year & the onboard photography left a bit to be desired - won't do any harm for some of the excellent photographers on here to show them the way !!

Been there, done it (for 7 years) If you enjoy working 7 days a week 12 hours a day, sharing a box cabin with a complete stranger and getting top bunk because you are the last on, and being insulted by rude tourists then go for it!!!
That's the down side, there are loads of plus points such as seeing the world for free etc etc.......
What's the pay like smithphoto?
Just intersted, don't think i'd want to do it myself.
i am searching job on photography.
