Tickets are free, and you can apply for up to 4.
I hopefully will be going if anyone else fancies a meet up, mainly so i can pick your brains :p , I'm up for it.
I wont be going to this one myself as too close to my holidays, however, if last year is anything to go by, it will be a good day out for anyone.
Better still, if anyone wants more than 4 tickets, drop me a PM, as Renault very kindly send me rather a lot of them.... assuming they will be as kind this year to their dealer network, there will be plenty spare ;)
I went last year and it was a blast , I've applied for 4 tickets for this year and will be spending the weekend there at a local campsite :)
Just applied and hopefully be getting some. Went last year and managed to take lots of photos which i was pleased with, since it was my first time and I'm so glad that i used a monopd for the panning shots. Don't forget the ear plugs :)

Might well have a look down, been to Donnigton before and its a bit of a trek for me though :(
I have applied for one, I am on holiday the week before in the lake district so provided I can get a hotel near by, can stop off on my way back ;)
Good find thanks
I've applied for 4 tickets too.
I've been to the last 2 of these and although I'm not a particular fan of Renaults in general it has still been a good weekend.
Are people thinking of going for just one day or both?

I'll be going for both, not sure whether I'll camp, or stay at my Grandmas though..........
I've put my request in for tickets. Never been before, is there any restrictions on photography at all, can the 'average' 'tog get close to the track side?

Nope don't think there were any restrictions, tons of folk there with "white glass" :D
try to get there early is all I can say the queue to get in / out was horrendous last year
and if you hear an Aeroplane ...
DUCK !!!!

This picture reminds me of the other direction of the airport when the planes swoop down over the M1, great photo opportunities to be had.

Much of donnington has high fences round the track so it is a pretty poor location compared to some. THere are a few good spots you can get from the infield banks but recommend 300mm pus from my expereince

Totally agree with you there, 2 best locations would be inside first corner (redgate) and next to the spark plug commentry tower next the the bridge with the space shuttle on the top :)

Ticket requested. The scary thing is that despite living in the West of Scotland, Donington is actually pretty easy to get to with the airport next door.
haven't got my tickets yet :(
Got loads of people coming I think matey, so should be able to meet up for a bit :)
My tickets arrived last week :woot: Thanks for pointing this out Wyvern
my tickets landed on the matt this morning.

Got my tickets too.
Looks like it will be a full day of racing.
right, got about 40 tickets now that the Renault Admin Monster finally stirred itself into sending dealer tickets out, so if anyone wants more than the 4 they will normally send, drop me a PM.
I am not able to attend anymore, but do have 4 tickets avaliable if anyone wants them. I did only ask for 1 as well
I'm going as last year had a point and shoot so this year with the DSLR a 200mm lens and a monopod should be fun.
Not only that but also on the parade lap in a black 182 cup :)... so if you see a bald man with a camera in the passenger seat thats me
.. so if you see a bald man with a camera
well that covers a good 50% of the forum :'(
I'll be one of the balding ones with a TalkPhotography neck strap
I have two tickets so I will be going. If LB has the day off (and is better by then) she may be coming with me.
I'm no longer going to be able to attend either :(
thanks for the heads up
4 tickets awaiting the pleasures of the GPO
I'll be there
look for a canon poking out under the grey hair!
Everyone still planning on going?
I'm going up on the Saturday!

Hmm, not sure how we are going to know who is who really.. Joe and Ladybird have my mobile, and vica versa.
I will still be going with a couple of mates (on Sunday) :D I'll have my D200 complete with TP strap, so if you see me come and say hi

I'll be there, will have my TP strap on my camera as well.
Where to meet up? not really sure tbh, I gave Marik my number  so mebbe will go find him at some point.
I'm booked in at Ingles Hill Campsite for Friday / Saturday so will be at the track for the weekend. If anybody wants to swap numbers PM me before 4pm on Friday or get me on MSN over the weekend :)
I'll be there too, but unfortunately, I'll be stuck in the exhibition hall doing the radio rally :thumbsdown:
Closest I ever get is listening to the cars screaming past on the other side of the fence .................:shake::shake:
Leaving at 9, might see some of you around. Yellow top :x
Just got back! It was a great day, saw lots and lots of big lenses floating about! Didn't see any TP straps though :(
Throughly enjoyed the racing and the day overall. The traffic was fricking terrible however, was stuck in traffic for and hour and thirty, wasn't amused!
I didn't meet up with anyone either, was shooting on my own :(
Hope you all enjoyed your day!
