I must have got abit hooked on all the superb hdr pics lately and thought i`d give it a whirl.
No clue of what i was doing and also 2 hrs late for work :nono:
Anyway a view from our flat in Finland this grey miserable rainy morning (reminds me of home):D

Its beautiful view but the image isn't doing it justice!

On my monitor (which is a crappy work one) there are two main problems: haloing around the trees and a general lack of sharpness. Did you produce from 1 or multiple raws?

My very first '3 raw' images suffered similatly due to my poor handholding and leaves and trees moving in the wind between shots.

Haloing I tackle with slider changes in Photmatix - no science with me I'm afraid!

Its a good first attempt though and I look forward to seeing more!

I made up 3 images from the one raw.
Like i said i had no clue what i was doing :D
Bit more practice and maybe better weather might help.
Try again later, at least the views still there.

The sky is too grey, the image is a bit too soft in areas, haloing around the trees and etc. Have you read my guide? (http://www.vanilladays.com/hdr-guide).

Yes thanks, without your guide i would never have got any hdr at all!
The sky is very grey in real life today, can`t do much about that.
I shall try some more and pay attention to the halo`s and whatnot.

High Dynamic Range means there are things in the shot that are too bright and others that are too dark. The magic processing then makes those normally lost extremes appear in the new version.

Not sure a shot like this one would have had the extremes there to start with and that may be why there is no 'drama'.

Might be a point, i just tried the same pic again, this time using a bigger range of exposure ...not alot of difference.
will try again with a less boring/bland subject mater.

Thought i`d have one more crack at this view since the weather improved...

Huge improvement in first, colours are much more controlled

Much better, much sharper - marred a little by a dark patch in the sky top left but your obviously getting there
