Im up for a learning curve, I mainly shoot Basketball and a little macro.

Would love to try and get into more, what are your thoughts on the meet? Day, night, street, city life, landscape...?

That's a possible Steve, what do you fancy snapping though? im lost in the big wide world. I have a reasonable kit and could try anything, just never ventured outdoors unless it's a beach lol

how about the whell and places like the printworks or anywhere else you can think where there maybe interesting places to photograph

I could well be up for this dependant on the missus's work shifts. I would like to take a blurry long exposure night time shot of the Manchester eye and maybe get booted out of Selfridge's again for togging in store :lol: China town could be a good location and the docks are quite nice I hear.

Get down to the Lowry, plenty of modern buildings and views over the Salford Quays.

Theres coffee shops and places to eat open until late.

I'm on call until 9.00pm but I'm owed a favour so might call it in. Wouldn't be able to give a yes until I've asked.

phil if you want to do night shots a trpod certanly be very useful .

how about chinatown , Picaddilly gardens and the wheel when it gets dark.

I would of loved to be there. The time would normally be perfect and straight after work, but I have one of my guys retiring that day and we are out for a meal and drinks that evening. I will check back to see where you are meeting, in case there is a chance I can make it.

Should be OK with this for a couple of hours after work - finish at 5ish in Spinningfields. Can play out till about half 8 or so. Can get changed and go grab a bite to eat and meet you about 6 at Starbucks.

Well unfortunately i'm off to Manchester today with the missus shopping... But as Togging is a completely different concept for me to being dragged round Primark, Selfridges etc. etc. I am still up for this one :( Just to confirm 6pm at the Starbucks near the Manchester eye. I have to confirm as most will know I go to the wrong parks and wrong locations when I meet anyone :shrug: and no TomTom does not help. Ste please pm me your mobile just in case :thumbs:

i `m off work tomorrow and i draging my wife to a camera shop to get a 28-70 2.8 lens. But the price is i get dragged around the shops as well.

if you cant carry a tripod. i will have mine with me , so anyone may use it if they want.

my Wife has taken a liking to my d70 . this is a good and bad thing

Good Things
1) it will be easier to get camera Gear
2) we get to do events together

Bad Points
1) when my camera is in for repair ( i wont have one), She offered me a panasonic fs-28).

2) Shes luckier than me.
