This was a lucky snap just as the bird was leaping out the water to catch some food, you can just about see the food between its beak

Look at those lambs jumping about like nutters, I'll just point the camera at them and fire off some shots as it looks funny...
Image removed whilst it is a finalist in a competition

edit.. oops .
Just saw one flick away under a fallen tree, stood still for a while to see if I could spot it again, twisted around and looking down and see this critter staring at me, click, click, click and he's gone. wahay.

"...What the hell are you looking at..."
Nice shots!
I would have had an excellent couple from last night and today. We went to the in laws last night and on the way out there was a Heron sat just feet from us. I couldn't reach around enough to take the shots so I passed the camera to my hubby to have a go. He took 20 shots and each and everyone was blurred :suspect:. So I thought 'We will go back tonight and sit and wait for them to come back (there was actually 3 flying around)'.
Fast forward to this morning; I was sat watching the birds out of my little window and a heron flys over! unusual here.. I grabbed my camera quickly but missed it :(. then all of a sudden the bloody thing must have turned around, deciding our goldfish in the pond looked tasty, and it tried its best to land in our garden. But I think my sudden panicky movements scared it off again  It tried another half a dozen times, but didn't succeed at all... good thing for the fish I guess. I just wish I had been ready for it at least 1 of those times. But I'm thinking it will be back now it knows there is an easy meal just waiting for it
That lamb is just awesome
Snapping away at a couple of Lions mating and found this one in amongst them, i think he must have Wildebeest on his breath:D

I still think the leaping lamb is superb :)
Here's my lucky shot. Not sharp, but under the circumstances, I was still chuffed with it.

This isn't very good but...look at the size of the fish! (hand held at 300mm and quite slow at 1/125th)

Not quite the same standard as some of the fantastic shots here, but I was just chuffed to snap it at the side of the road in suburbia with the 85mm (cropped)
