Im off work all next week (except tuesday) so I was wondering if anyone was doing anything or if there are any events etc? I live just North of Darlington, so I need to be able to get from there by public transport.

I was hoping to do the Quayside one night this week maybe on Wednesday evening depending on the weather. I know a couple of others were thinking of doing it sometime soon too although nothing else has been mentioned lately. Don't know of any events though.

Ok, cheers KenCo1964. Whereabouts are you based? Im actually in Newton Aycliffe. Im hoping my new lens will come tomorrow, which if is the case, im most likely going to be doing the macro shuffle dance round the fields.:)

If anybody is still up for meeting on the quayside one evening (except friday or saturday as it will be manic) then drop a line on the thread. I can make most evenings and would like to do some stuff of the Sage etc - maybe grab a beer after!

I will keep an eye on the thread - if there are no takers then ditch the camera's, go to Greys club and get slaughtered!:woot:

i know of one thing but you may not be interested.. Catterick races are having a race meet on the 4th july..

i am still looking for other things...

ok gonna fess up i have only just moved to the area only having ever visited it before so i may well be looking at thing through new eyes.. was in barnard castle today and darlington saw a few things on the way as i say will get some info together and see if you are interested

I am thinking a Tuesday, Wednesday or Sunday evening. Fri & Sat nights are just over run with people on the lash so probably not the best time to visit. I will try and get hold of the tilt times for the Millenium Bridge as well.

Does anybody have any dates they can't make?

Could do either the tues, wed or sunday, would be nice if the bridge was tilting at time but not so important :shrug:

I doubt I could make a meet during a weekday, and the Quaysaide isn't one that really interests me tbh. I am however considering heading out to the Seal Sands area some time in the near future if anyone is interested. Most likey going to be a Saturday.

I should be able to make any with a little notice. Not yet seen the bridge tilt.....though it's not that important for me

Yup. Its on the Hartlepool side of the Tees. Beach area with Seals, backing on to a wildlife reserve overlooked by industrial areas.

Never been there, may well be worth a look out, after this weekend I'm away for the next 2 weekends (Amsterdam drinking and Edinburgh for photography) though.
