Tame calves, wild processing

My post processing is fairly orthodox stuff, but I've been experimenting :-) Tell me, does this finish add anything to an admittedly straightforward shot, or is it just odd looking? I used a contrast mask, worked in some edges and curves, and a couple more tweaks.

I think the only thing which looks odd is the cows. the Sky is nice and the contrast in the trees is good...
poss some saturation to bring out the green would help?

Dramatic effect I'd say Tony which would probably work better with a more dramatic main subject than the cows?
