My wife and I went to Port Lympne with 'Photographers on Safari' run by John Wright and had a great day out :)

Thanks folks - Strongly recommend John's Photo Safari trips. He really works hard to ensure you can maximise the photo opportunities :)

Absolutely fantastic.
Would love to go on something similar, one day.

Awesome shot... although just a tiny tiny bit cramped IMO. A crop with slightly more room around the mouth would be great.

Thanks Tom - will have a look at opening up a bit more of the crop. Mainly wanted to capture the power of the eyes with a hint of strength from the mouth -Ron

Vertical cropping is spot on but agree with Tom about leaving slightly more room by the mouth - adding a bit of space to the left side of the image would sort this no problem IMO.
Very minor picking as I agree with everyone else in that this is a very powerful image, sharp, perfect focus & full of character. Very nicely done

Great shot. I've been to Port Lympne with Vic Sharratt and will be going in July with Wild Arena. It's a great location and the gorilla batchelor group (which I presume this one is from) present so many good opportunities.

Nice capture.
