Beavery type of thing from Beale Park

A couple of shots of a Beaver kind of critter taken at Beale Park a few weeks ago. Trouble is I can't for the life of me remember what it's called :thinking: can anyone identify him for me :)

Note to self - take pen and paper next time and write down what I'm taking photos of :bonk:

Well thats two of us that wasted our youth watching silly cartoons :D
marmots are slimer / slimer faces. Prairies are chunckier with rounder faces
but agreed they are very simlar

Looks awfully like a black tailed prairie marmot to me, like the ones we saw at Twycross, but im prepared to be wrong, it certainly wont be the first time ;) or the last lol

LOL just looked it up and they are both Marmot and Prairie Dog lol ill get me coat ;)
