I took this of Charlie one of the rescues who turned up today.

He had just been fishing for rocks.

This was very dark to begin with so have altered levels a little and brightness. Had to keep moving it back though as it was very easy to go to far and it just looke washed out.

I think you have captured the expression on this proud dogs face well.
It looks over shaprened to me, and a slight tweak of the saturation may well help.
Good shot none the less.

Seems to have been the theme for yesterday - oversharpening.

Its also a shame he wasn't wearing a proper Stafford collar.

He looks a noble beast Andrea ... ;) and pretty well taken too ... :thumbs: ... but what do you mean proper Staffie collar ... :shrug:

We have recently brough home a rescue Staff we named Benson ... :love: ... and he is happy with any collar as it means he is going to get an outing ... :D

Ah, but they only like their outing if it isn't raining!!!

A proper Stafford Collar is made out of good quality bridle leather and decorated with brass studs. Not the pointy sort you get at the pet shop but proper shapes often including flower and more commonly the Stafford Knot (tips must always be worn to the top).

Very traditional in the breed, made to hold the strength of the dog and give you more control. They often last for the lifespan of the dog however do not like saltwater as it rots the hand stitching.

An example is below, modelled by Winston, another Rescue taken a couple of years ago.

AND how true is that ... :lol: ... though once he's out he suffers the wet rather well ... :D

Don't think Benson is so bothered by Staffie fashion ... though he does have a rather trendy cammy collar atm ... :D ... but his lead is generally attached to his harness rather than his collar on our outings ... ;)
