Will do :) you busy mon/tues next week?
Also did i leave my gitzo monopod in your boot last time we met up
Thought about the trek tech T'pod  depending on how mini you want it.... but get the 00131 - the latest version if it is suitable.... Thats held a Nikon D300s+MB-D10 & a nikon 70-200 vr & a siggie 100-300mm f4 with no worries.....

Free Monday till about 7, not Tuesday.
No monopod in boot that I can recall, but will check through all the junk tomorrow.......
I was going to post the exact same question, minus the remote camera part. I went ahead and ordered one of these on amazon: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001U4QBJY/ref=oss_product
Was worth a punt for £8 - i'll let you know what it's like. Will be using 170-500mm Siggy & 17-80 Nikkor

No worries - glad that its helped really.... Just make sure that you get the latest version as the earlier one wasn't all that good (I've had both) the latter 00131 is alot more sturdier & has a better head and a hold on the camera as so to speak....
this one... (my review as well :p) t'pod (http://http://www.amazon.co.uk/Trek-Tech-T-Pod-Table-Tripod-MagMount/dp/B002BINFDI/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1279915810&sr=8-3)
