I would like to announce that Joe from Redsnapper will from now on be sponsoring the Learn Together meets organised by me on a regular basis in the form of some sort of prize towards the best photo on the meet.

Joe originally set up Redsnapper to help photographers to get photography kit at a reduced price without sacrificing any quality and I'm sure everyone at the Kirkby Lonsdale meet who handled the tripod kindly donated by Redsnapper would agree that it is top quality kit.

I set Redsnapper up as a service to photographers in the first place rather than a sales engine as I felt we were being overcharged for equipment in general so this sort of support backs up my ethos of helping rather than hindering photographers.

Details of some other sponsorship deals and kit for us to use on our meets is in progress at the moment and I have now in hand some excellent kit to try out on our next meet including ExpoAperture2 (http://www.expoimaging.com/product-detail.php?cat_id=4&product_id=4&keywords=ExpoAperture2_Depth-of-Field_Guide) disks to try out and a few filters compliments of Formatt (http://www.formatt.co.uk/stills-filters/filters/stills-filters.aspx) I will be looking at organising a new learn together meet some time in August and would welcome any ideas or suggestions on locations or themes for a meet.

Thanks Joe

Well done on the sponsorship Joe, Redsnapper is vg quality products and excellent value for money.
I will try to get to as many meets as I can but travelling from Edinburgh is expensive. Perhaps one day a learn together meet can be arranged in our neck of the woods.

You could start a meet of your own meet in Edinburgh I'm sure you would get a good few people interested. If you want to try then the worse that can happen is you don't get a reply  If you need any help in any way I will happily put my oar in  just say the word matey
