Hi All,
Well i have mentioned having a meet in Braemar to a few members now and thought it was about time to see who was all interested..
This thread is just to see who would be interested and to see when everyone would be available for going up there.
The place i have in mind is "Falls of Garbh Allt" in the Ballochbuie Forest on the Royal estate in Braemar, where there is a great walk through the forest leading to a set of waterfalls (pics below), i have put a couple maps below to show where the car park is and the route of the walk..
The walk is a roughly a total of 3.3 miles from start to finish. and i would suggest heading up in the morning and spending most of the day there.

Here are a couple shots from last time i was up there, please also note there is a lot more to take photos of than just the waterfalls, there is the whole forest to explore and if your lucky you might see some wildlife.

I also think depending on how many people are interested in this we could all meet in Banchory and maybe just take 1 or 2 cars up, this will save us all driving up.
So... who fancies this then? and when do you want to do it? im dont have any dates in mind yet, (i will need to double check with work) but if we get a handful of dates that we are free we can whittle it down.
Any questions , let me know.
Cheers
Chris.
