can anyone recommend a wide angle lens for a 1d mkii N

i bought a sigma 10-20mm which arrived today, and its worse than useless.
because of the cropping factor (i assume) i can see the lens barrel wide open, and plenty of vignetting at all other ranges.
if someone can recommend a better one i'll send this one back

Yeah thats a crop sensor only lens. Sigma 12-24 is full frame compatible and very good for the money

cameras2u apparently:

http://www.camerapricebuster.co.uk/prod213.html

They are part of the Jessops group, and the free next day delivery is as advertised. No problems with them.

With a 1D beware of any Sigma "DC" lenses as they will vignette.

I'm happy with the Canon 17-40 and have decided that is wide enough...

I use the 14mm f2.8 L - fantastic quality, in terms of build and picture quality.

I tried it against the 14mm 2.8 sigma which was nice but no where near the L in both build and picture quality. the 12-14 sigma as the worst of the 3.

But - (there is always a but)

The L is quite expensive, the 14mm sigma is approx half price.

cheers
