:( :'(
You trying to tell us something Ken? :suspect:
One of the nicest IMO of many excellent shots you've posted.
Drat it, just written a post and pressed the wrong button:bang:
I love this Ken, makes me want to see more.
This is going so sound rather odd but that tree is a little too sharpened or detailed for me. Oh and now I find the berries at the top too distracting. Its a lovely shot non the less just I find those bits distract me.

Simple composition with good technical construct. I am not distracted as my eye is lead "down the garden path" successfully. :)
It's a nice shot but it's not really moving or evocotive tbqh. Certainly not enough to bring tears to my smilie. Must be a personal thing.. :|

Nice one and, funnily enough, it strikes a real chord with me when matched with the title. A very poignant shot well seen and well taken imo!

Couldn't agree more.
The over blurry top bit is the issue as it doesnt go with the very sharp tree trunk and earth
Good shot otherwise ***
Thanks veryt much for the comments guy's and sorry for the delay.....

Mmmmm yes and no! although I don't really wish to talk about it at the moment...just to say I have an awful lot on my mind.
Oh and now I find the berries at the top too distracting.
It's a pine tree! so they would be cones :cuckoo:
Okay, had another go and although there is less shaded areas on the tree (creating more detail) this version has had very little sharpening applied and was masked to just the tree. (see first post).
Thanks again for the comments.
Ken.

Ah well now I know what they are, they're still distracting :p

Much better imho. Though I'd still crop out that top bit. But thats just me.
