If anyone noticed Pauls (grumpybadger) sale thread didn't have the 5D on offer for very long...that was down to me! I've been thinking about full frame for a while and his advert pushed me over the edge :)

It's bigger than the 20D but not so much that it seems a lot different and I feel at home with it straight away.

First thing that struck me - doesn't that shutter make a lovely noise :)

Second thing was seeing things in a way I've not since I was using a film SLR. 50mm becomes quite useful again!

And as to 17mm with the 17-40 :D

Don't read anything more than field of view into those shots as there is no sharpening or other editing applied.

Thanks Paul think I'm going to enjoy this camera.

Now anyone have any tips I should know with the 5D or do I have to read the manual?

Makes a big difference having the full frame. I have been thinking about changing my 20D for a 5D for a while now.

Nice garden :)

Glad you are enjoying Robert and pleased it's gone to a good home. My 1D Mk II turned up in the post less than an hour after you left!
