View Full Version : TP meets, clubs & gatherings in Southend on Sea
Hi, I've been hanging around here for some time and been into photography for about 20 years.
Am really keen to get involved with others in the real world outside of this great interweb 'club', share knowledge and learn new things.
I know there have been a few meets lately around Southend on Sea (Essex) that I have missed, but wondered if there are any more planned for the future?
I am happy to organise something if there is enough interest
Also be interested to hear about TP'ers local to me who may want to get involved
Finally, are there any clubs in the Rayleigh,Hockley,Rochford or Southend areas?

Could be up for something.
Do you guys have any preference of day or night? I think I'm going to be in Southend on the 14th in the evening if that's of interest? Meant to be a fairly big car meet going on and the car club I'm with will be there.
I'm up for anything really
Whether that be one evening or a weekend, studio, street, seafront, car show, landscape whatever
I'm looking to meet with other TPers swap tips, share knowledge on a particular subject etc
What car show is on the 14th willenium? I know there are some coming up at battlesbridge this month
Edit - the 15/08 is the classic ford show at battlesbridge

I think it's just an organised run down to the seafront on the Saturday night. Not a show as such, just lots of cars coming from all over the place and overwhelming the weekly chav meet that goes on. I missed the last one they did but should be free for this one if anyone wants to meet up down there.
Hello Alan, I'd be interested in S-O-S area meets - the longer the notice the better.
Wouldn't mind taking a few pics of Hadleigh Castle before they start butchering the grounds for the Olympics, not sure if people can just turn up, any locals know?
Hey TJJ.
No problem, I will need to try and organise something if nobody else has got anything going on round here.
Hadleigh Castle is free and open to the public all year round - there are no gates and parking is easy too. I have some shots here (http://www.flickr.com/photos/thebloater/sets/72157622076739094/) that I took early one morning of the sunrise.

Ive lost my way a bit with my Photography as a hobby so I would be keen to get together with some others (time permitting) hopefully putting me back on track.

Thanks Dave. They are doing the mountain biking there after deciding that Weald Park wasn't challenging enough. There will be grandstands (probably temporary) and they'll make a mess of it.
