Curry spices

I spent today on a cooking course, learning how to spice up my veg Indian style. We were given (well, paid for) this tray of spices to take home and practice with.

I was lazy and simply shot this in the living room. 2 versions here - just because it might be interesting - all from the same raw file.

1st one - simple adjust white balance, levels and a bit of H&S in photoshop

2nd one - same shot - saved 3 exposures in Adobe Camera Raw : -1 0 +1. Then HDR'd it in Photomatix

Fantastic subject, just not quite nailed for me.
Maybe a bit cliche but take a couple of the powders out of the tins :) Perhaps when you have finished making one of those curries ! Colours are beautiful.

:agree: Possibly a very close up shot of the tins together to better show the colours - am going to have to make a curry tonight now :lol: :thumbs:

Not bad shots. Would look better in some rustic pots though.:)

I'm going to kind of disagree with everyone else here and say I really like the second one. First is a bit snapshot-ish but I think the second is great :D
