Mid-afternoon last Thursday, just before the rain came down. (And did it come down...)

Nice contrasting colours against that very moody sky! Looks like it bucketed it down!

We were in one of the tents when it started, listening to a talk. The guest speaker liked it - said it sounded like perpetual applause!

Fortunately I did not rain when I was there on the 24th May. I was hosting a business meeting with colleagues at the Blas tent. We took the clients to a talk chaired by Adam Boulton (Sky News) Zac Goldsmith was one of the other guests. All about the environment and being Green etc. Wasn't allowed to take my camera :'(

It's an interesting place, definitely, but I hope it keeps its focus on literature in the coming years and doesn't end up as a summer camp for leftish politics. The Mirror could have had a headline out of me: "Tony Benn ate my sandwich". Actually, I kept the sandwich and ate it standing up so he could have my nice dry bench to be interviewed on.
